Serene Villas and 55+ Housing

Serene Villas is intended to operate as housing for persons 55 years of age or older, subject to satisfaction and continued compliance with the federal Housing for Older Persons Act and other applicable requirements. Age-verification, eligibility, and occupancy policies will be provided during the leasing process.

The 55+ designation concerns the lawful familial-status exemption for qualifying housing for older persons. It does not permit discrimination based on disability, race, color, national origin, religion, sex, or any other protected status. Community-specific eligibility rules may differ and will be stated in the applicable leasing materials.

Housing Concerns and Complaints

Housing discrimination complaints may be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or the Texas Workforce Commission Civil Rights Division.
